This is the first in the long list of articles I will be writing that links a specific body part with the types of emotions, thoughts, beliefs and spiritual experiences associated with it. I also intend to do a video version of these articles on my YouTube channel for those that prefer to listen.
It turned out to be a longer article than I was intending but I hope it helps more people as a result.
As I’ve mentioned many times, the physical body and that beyond the physical are interrelated. So if you want to solve a physical issue, you can often find mental, emotional and spiritual factors you can work on to help the physical body and vice versa.
As you’ll see with these articles, I will be relating the physical function of the different body parts to the non-physical issues a little more than the two books I recommended in my previous article – “Heal your Body” by Louise Hay and “Permanent Healing” by Daniel R. Condron. I will still advise people to have these books for the slightly different view-points they have and different corrective advice they give.
For some body parts, like with the eyes in this article, I think it is useful going into detail of the anatomy and function of them, so that the information can be better understood or put to use. I personally find that understanding the physical function of body parts better helps me to understand the energetic function behind them and thus the beliefs and traumas related to them.
I will be using a scientific stand-point to start with but bear with me so you can see how it relates…
The physical function of the eyes
You might like to remember the physical details I’m describing here for future reference, as the pineal gland, A.K.A “3rd eye”, is very similar in structure to the eyes!

The eyes are where your body allows light from the outside to come into the body via the pupil (the hole) at the front of the eyeballs. Muscles in the iris, the coloured part of the eye, contract and relax to open and close the pupil to allow different amounts of light into the eyeball. In bright light, the pupil will be very small such as when looking at the sun, whereas in the dark the pupil will be very large to try and receive more light.
The back of the inside of the eyeballs, the retina, contains specialised rod and cone cells that react to different colours of light and generate a nerve impulse each time they react. This impulse goes along the optic nerve behind the eye, which reaches various areas of the brain. This includes the occipital lobe at the back of the brain where the information is processed and then onto the frontal lobes of the brain, where sense is made of that information, or if you like, where you actually “see” what your eyes picked up.
Some of this light information goes to other areas of the brain to guide in controlling circadian rhythms i.e. the body clock of the body. This is necessary to make sure that the correct hormones and other signalling molecules are produced at the right times of day. This has a huge impact on mood, the ability to sleep and rest, as well as energy levels throughout the day. So if you have sleep and mood issues, you’re probably not going outside and getting enough natural light, especially in the morning and/or getting too much artificial light from modern appliances, especially in the evenings!
The eyes are spherical so as to be able to move around and enable vision in different directions and there are muscles around the eye, in the eye socket of the skull, that enable that movement. These muscles are controlled by cranial nerves from the brain stem.
The inside of eyeballs is simply fluid, mostly made up of water but also containing nutrients and white blood cells to clean up any infections or debris caused by damage.
At the front of the eyeballs you have the lens for focusing the light from the front of the eye onto the retina at the back. This is not like a solid lens you would find in a camera or telescope because it can be stretched to change its shape so that you can focus on distant or close objects. The muscles that stretch the lens are found around the lens and are controlled by nerves via the optic nerve, also from the brain stem.
At the very front of the eyeballs we have the cornea that is a bit like a tough skin that protects the eyes from whatever particles might land on the eyes.
While this is a brief description of the eyes, I hope it helps you identify which part of the eye you may have an issue with so that you can better tune into it during Goenka style vipassana meditations or to know what your doctor might be talking about for example. It will also help you understand the following paragraphs…
Differences in people’s eyes
Everyone’s eyes will function slightly differently because not all people’s eyes are the same, even if there are no abnormalities or diseases present.
It is well known in the scientific field that different people see different colours for example. Some people are colour-blind and cannot see a certain colour because they are missing the relevant cone cell that picks up that particular colour. Red is the most common form of colour blindness, though you can have multiple. My rock-climbing friend has a lot of difficulty telling the difference between most colours when trying to climb the colour-coded climbs that are typical of modern indoor climbing centres as an example.

Even if you can see all of the main colours, there can be differences between how many different shades of a colour you can differentiate between. This is called colour vision acuity and there are a lot of free tests online (such as here) you can find to test this yourself.
As someone who is an alternative practitioner, I would also like to point out that computer and mobile phone screens only produce a certain colour range, which is far less of a range than what you find outside in nature. So the colour acuity tests will not test your eyes for all that is possible for your eyes to see.
Moreover, I’ll give you a little warning here. If you spend a lot of time in front of artificial screens then your body will respond by not making as much of a variety of photoreceptors (because your body decides not to waste energy making things it doesn’t need). So if you wish to develop better vision and especially if you wish to train your eyes to pick up on light to do with auras and things that most people don’t see, then you’ll be far better off spending more time away from screens. The same goes for helping to heal your eyes from certain conditions. Again get outside!
This is not just some spiritual “mumbo jumbo” here. Scientifically there are people who have been found to see further into the ultraviolet range of light and further into the infrared range of light than the majority of people and in those people they discovered more varieties of rod and cone cells. You might like to look into the subject of “tetrachromacy” as an example of eye variation where such people can see it is claimed 100 million different colours due to the extra subset of cone cells being present.
I personally believe that a lot of the DNA that in the past was called “junk DNA” codes for the necessary building blocks for dormant abilities. Making extra rod and cone cells is just one example of this and there are many scientists that agree with me. It can be a right pain finding the scientific case studies related to this but please do go and search if it interests you.
Not all information from the eyes is seen
I always remember during my studies as an osteopath what one of my teachers said about the eyes. He said that the rod and cone cells in the eyes are sensitive enough to easily pick up a small candle flame from several miles away even in the middle of the day. The vast majority of people cannot see a candle flame from that distance however, because not all the information from the eye reaches the parts of the brain necessary for us to see.
There are multiple places along the different nerve routes that suppress a signal from continuing. In addition some nerves only allow a signal to continue if it reaches a certain threshold and that threshold can be altered by other nerves.

Why would the body, including the brain itself not want all information to pass through for you to be aware of it? Simply put, it would be totally overwhelming for you to be aware of every tiny thing going on with every part of yourself. As people become more aware along their awakening journey, they very often complain about physical, emotional and mental discomfort – things that were always there but now they have a better sensory capacity than they did before. Imagine taking this further and being aware of absolutely everything going on in your body at all times, every chemical reaction, every cell movement, every fluid movement, every little irritation or damage done to cells as well as every communication going on between cells. Completely overwhelming right?! The same goes for being able to see absolutely everything.
Not perceiving everything is partly due to you not using every possible sense, and thus your body not making every sensory apparatus needed to sense what you choose to ignore. Partly it is you choosing (knowingly or not) what information you’d like to focus on – afterall you are perfectly capable of sensing your big toe and what is going on with it in general but I bet you weren’t aware of your big toe until I mentioned your big toe, right?
Another big factor is belief. Your beliefs literally shape how you see things. While auras exist and can be measured easily with scientific methods, not all of you see auras and even if you do, you see it in different ways to how other people do. This is an important factor to consider with eye issues – everyone see what they choose to see, even if they don’t know that they are choosing to or not.
Different eye parts relate to different issues
Generally speaking, and this will be obvious to most people, the eyes represent how you “see” this world, this reality and the people, beings and things in it.
If you have any resistance, judgement, worry or fear of what you see then that will create and energetic resistance in the aura and around your eyes. Especially if not corrected and left for a long period, the energy will become more stagnant, flow less and thus lower the vibration of the aura. Eventually this will lead to physical stagnation of fluids, tissues and nerve impulses etc in the physical eye, leading to physical diseases.
Of course it happens the other way around too. If you have a poor diet (thus a lack of good nutrients getting to the eye), lack exercise, expose your eyes to artificial lights, don’t get enough sleep, or have an eye injury, as some of many potential examples, this will start to cause energetic shifts in the aura and create blocks there. So as you can see I often advise people to work on both the physical and the energetic when healing complaints in the body.
Each part of the eye has a different function and so are affected by a different belief/trauma/habit than others. So each case will be different.
Lets start looking at specific eye issues and what that could mean on a non-physical level. Some of these will be similar to the Daniel Condron “Permanent Healing” and Louise Hay “Heal your Body” books but with my own twist and others will be more different.
A lot of the information for the individual complaints below overlap with each other so some degree so I highly recommend reading all the different eye condition advice even if you only want to specifically look at one problem.
Because the brain is what interprets the information from the eyes, you might want to look an future articles about the brain specifically too, as well as certain diseases that affect the eyes indirectly such as diabetes.
Eye problems in general
They represent resistance to how you “see” this world and the people and things in it. If you don’t like what you see, which is of course based on your beliefs, experiences and traumas, then you are likely to resist what you see in some way, causing issues in the eye as a result. This could be a resistance to other people, organisations or things you see, or indeed how you see your Self.
Sometimes it is a case of being able to see this reality clearly, your place in it, being ok with how you see your past and what you wish for in your future without fear or worry. So the more purposeful and motivated you are in this reality the easier it is to see positive outcomes and relax with the things you see, which is why often goal setting can help a lot with eye issues.
In general the more you work on being the best version of yourself and start to see how capable you are and thus that there is a brighter outlook than you originally thought, the easier it is to clear eye problems. A lot of the time it is a case of choosing to do something about your life and actually acting on it. Sometimes it’s more about relaxing and seeing that there is actually nothing to fear. If you see the beauty in everything then you are less likely to have eye issues 😉
Like any part of the body, good fluid mechanics are important for taking away toxic by-products of metabolism and other other toxins from poor diet, habits and other chemical exposures. Also introducing more nutrients and immune cells necessary for repairs and maintenance of cells and tissues of the eye. Fluid mechanics can be improved with good movement of the eyes and the rest of the body in general and by making sure you don’t introduce to much rubbish into the body in the first place.
Reducing toxins in your body is very important for helping with basically all of the following eye conditions. The biggest sources of toxins are pharmaceuticals (with their “side effects”), poor diet (even what most people consider “healthy” these days is quite often awful for the body!), cleaning products, beauty products, toothpastes, materials used in building construction, “protective” chemicals such as fire retardants in furniture, paints and wall-papers etc etc.
Getting a good naturopathic nutritionist to help you (such as my Wife! www.thenordicnutritionist.com) can be another very important avenue to explore. For example if your body cannot or struggles to form retinol (the active form of vitamin A) from non-animal food sources then you might find upping your intake of red meats and eggs especially, might rectify that. As a side note, it is often stated that you can get retinol from fruits and vegetables but that is a lie as the vitamin A in those is actually in a different form and needs to be converted by the body into retinol. Be careful what you read and question everything!
Left eye issues are common in newly awakened people
I have found a lot over the years with new-age/newly-awakened people that the left eye is more commonly affected. In most people the left eye is the more receiving eye, being on the more feminine side of the body.
With all the talk of spiritual demons, warfare, famines, destruction of nature etc that is so prevalent in both the alternative media and main-stream media, it is easy for sensitive people to not like what they see on this planet. This often creates a lot of resistance to what they see and the left eye being the more receptive one, will often feel uncomfortable and develop diseases more often. I’ve been told that this is a common problem for ETs who have spent time looking at Earth’s issues and using our technologies if you believe in that sort of thing ;-).

Astigmatism
Astigmatism is a blurring of vision that is caused by the cornea and/or the lens being misshapened. This happens either from birth, injuries, operations or diseases like keratoconus where a combination of genetic, environmental (i.e. chemicals) and hormonal factors (from other diseases) are apparent.
Typically surgeries and/or glasses are used as practical solutions.
Energetically, blurring of vision represents not seeing clearly or a very distorted view of reality. This can be caused by not wanting to see reality or Self and can be due to extreme fear and/or holding a very biased view, rather than seeing the bigger picture and all the good in reality and/or your Self.
Learning in all aspects is a key part of solving this. It means questioning and testing your beliefs as to if they are true or not, rather than holding onto beliefs and thus methods that are clearly not helping you, despite you thinking they do. As more information flows in by this learning exploration, you see a bigger picture, have more options and choice. You see Self and things more like what they actually are, compared to what you previously believed – i.e. you see yourself and the world around you more truthfully. More clearly.
Cataracts
Cataracts are cloudy lenses within the eyes that blur vision and can eventually lead to blindness if worsened. Due to the opacity of the lens being affected you can also experience halos when looking at lights, double vision, faded colours, difficulty with bright lights or seeing at night.
It is caused either by injury or issues with nutrients getting to and toxic by-products getting out of the eye, leading to stagnation and a change in consistency of the lens, as proteins and fibers slowly break down over time. Coming off of pharmaceutical drugs, paying attention to toxic exposure from everything from cleaning products, beauty products, paint on your walls, fire retardants in furniture etc etc and changing diet to help reduce the body’s toxicity is going to play a big factor in all eye conditions in this article.
Because cataracts also blur vision much like astigmatism, there are a lot of similarities in energetic causes and solutions. Because cataracts however tend to happen slowly over time and is more common with age, it leans more to beliefs of a dark future, an inability to see the future clearly and/or dwindling joy as their abilities are perceived to lessen with time.
Like the advice for astigmatism, Goal setting and learning are important so as to show the Self that it does have the power to change things for the better. Challenging those beliefs that they can’t make anything of themselves and their future is key. Often simply trying out new things like learning a new language, traveling somewhere new, trying a new activity or hobby such as a musical instrument, painting, various sports, cooking etc to bring joy and a sense of growth and direction to life is useful.
Colour Blindness
As explained briefly above, colour blindness is simply related to not being able to see certain colours. The colour you are blind to depends on which pigments in the photoreceptive rod and cone cells you may be missing. Red is the most common blindness though some people have difficulty in seeing other colours and differentiations between each colour too.

Light is picked up by the rod and cone cells of the retina at the back of the eye. The rod cells are more concentrated to the outside vision and are more important when trying to see in the dark (and are also more important when trying to start seeing auras as explained in my YouTube video here).
Cone cells are more concentrated in the middle of vision and pick up a range of different colours dependant on the type of pigments inside the cone cells you have, and work better in daylight.
For some people it is caused by missing pigments and thus types of cone cells, though there can sometimes be neurological issues in translating the information in the brain. Missing or faulty genes can be a cause of missing pigments, either in being able to create the correct enzymes and proteins to make the relevant photoreceptors, or even those effecting other organs that may absorb, digest or convert other chemicals from food and elsewhere in the body to be able to start making those pigments in the first place.
Most people with colour blindness have it from birth due to genetic abnormalities or issues in expressing their genes fully. However people can acquire it later in life due to injuries, poor nutrition, from the effects of other eye issues such as cataracts, side effects of pharmaceutical drugs, systemic diseases elsewhere in the body such as diabetes effecting the ability to make photoreceptors, heavy metal and other chemical damage (usually again affecting the body’s systems and indirectly damaging the retina or directly damaging the retina itself) and also damage from certain lights/lasers or other work/hobby related stresses.
Vitamin A is commonly known to be needed for vision as it is used in the construction of the pigments needed in the photoreceptor cells. Most people don’t know however that there are many, many forms of vitamin A and unless there is an issue in doing so, the body will convert between different forms as needed. It is quite well known in modern times that many people are poor at or even cannot convert certain types of vitamin A and other nutrients such as beta-carotene into an active form of vitamin A, know as retinol. In these individuals they will need to get retinol directly and thus need to eat meats especially red meats, fishes, dairy products such as butter and cheese and of course eggs. Foods they try to tell us these days are “bad” for us for various reasons, that are now know to be actually very healthy!
And don’t think you can just take a few supplements to make up for a poor diet either! Most supplements are a waste of money because they are either in a form the the body can’t digest, can’t convert into useful forms, don’t come with the correct carrier molecules, have dosage issues and/or even come with harmful chemicals. So be careful out there and get stuck into eating more natural foods that don’t come with these complications. Again a good naturopathic nutritionist can be very helpful here.
Vitamin A isn’t the only nutrient needed by the eyes of course and Vitamins E and C, omega 3 fatty-acids, zinc and cholesterol and other fats (yes those things they tried to convince us was bad for us!) among many other nutrients are important too. So a balanced diet can be very useful for those where there are nutrient deficiencies and where epi-genetics rather than gene omissions or mutations are present. In fact some nutrients may make up for gene issues by getting around enzymatic reaction stages, such as retinol.
Other than dietry advice, which I’d suggest you focus on for ALL eye issues, not just colour blindness, there are other practical things you can try. They include resolving whatever other eye conditions in this article you may have first, sorting out any systemic disease or deficiency you may have such as controlling your blood sugar in the case of diabetes (and yes many people can cure type 2 diabetes permanently if they are diligent enough over a prolonged period!), ceasing taking pharmaceutical drugs, reducing or stopping toxic exposure to various chemicals and detoxing or using saunas to sweat them out, and of course taking yourself away from a workplace or activity that is directly damaging your eyes.
In the case of congenital causes that are less likely to benefit from the above advice (though I would definitely still try!), you could try to use colour blindness glasses that help to create better colour differentiation.
Energetically, colour blindness is a refusal to see the whole of reality as it is, due to fears based on past or current life experiences and traumas. It represents an unwillingness to receive all that you could receive and thus an issue in learning the whole truth, resulting often in biased or incomplete points-of view. Just as you cannot fully see things with your physical eyes you cannot perceive ideas, concepts, and people fully for what they are and can be tricked or misled more easily. Learning is thus an issue, as is the case with most eye conditions here.
Learning is a key component to solve the energetic issues here. Ask yourself how you can make up for the inability to see everything. How can you acquire that information by other means so that you can understand and “see” the bigger picture and can be more informed so you can move forward with more ease and not fear seeing everything that you didn’t want to previously.
Crossed eyes (Strabismus)
This is where each eye looks in a different direction to the other, leading to blurred or double vision. There are different types of strabismus depending on which direction the eyes look relative to each other. In some people it only happens when they are tired or stressed or worsens in those states. Often if left for a long time they end up with a “lazy eye” because only the dominant eye is used when looking.

It most often happens in children and if left untreated can linger on into adulthood. There are many causes including malformations on the brain during or after pregnancy, such as with Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, hydrocephalus, premature births etc. Also can be caused by issues with the skull affecting the nerves to the eye muscles and chemical imbalances affecting the brain nerves and/or muscles, to name but a few.
If there are malformations or diseases affecting vision in one of the eyes, then strabismus can happen due to the person favoring the other eye.
Eye exercises, patching, prism lenses etc depending on the initial cause, are all practical solutions and can be started at any time in life, so it’s never too late to start. It is worth remembering that the brain and peripheral nervous system are very plastic and adaptable, not like what they used to teach us in neurology in the past! So, you can very much grow nerves by trying to make your body do something it currently cannot do, such as with eye exercises.
Energetically there are some similarities to the above two diseases because of the resulting blurred or double vision, so some of the same advice regarding not wanting to see what’s out there applies.
In addition crossed eyes represents competing or crossed purposes or view-points. Beliefs and/or directions of life that counteract each other or pull you in different directions, you could say. It can also represent not being able to perceive the world accurately or the Self accurately and can be a sign of early wounding much like the schizoid characterology in psychology where the soul/consciousness is not fully here or not fully in the body because of the perceived dangers of this world.
Working out what you really want in life, what purpose or direction in life is important here. Just like you can’t see properly when the two eyes aren’t focusing on the same object, you cannot have a clear and easy path in life if you have competing goals, competing thoughts or competing emotions. Working out what would be best, that would satisfy you best emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually and taking action to go down that path and maintain it despite distractions and thoughts/emotions/people etc trying to pull you away is key.
Also working on the desire to be in this reality, creating a reason to want to be here and be in the body are important. Knowing that you are safe, supported and wanted here is the basis for wanting to do more and be here. If you feel safe then you will feel it is safe to see what is here.
Farsighteness (Hyperopia)
This is a condition where the refractive parts of the eye are affected leading to seeing things more clearly at a distance but close objects will appear blurry and of course there are varying severities of this.
Officially farsightedness usually starts at birth, however experience shows that this can develop later in life and it is common for many elderly people to start to need glasses to read things up-close.
Structurally it is mostly due to the shape of the cornea and/or lens of the eye being affected from birth or due to how a person habitually uses their eyes and how resistant they are to using their eyes or strain themselves using their eyes especially with close objects.
If the cornea shape is the issue then it can be hard to change that without intervention. The lens shape however can be altered through exercise to some degree in the short term and to a larger degree with prolonged exercises and use over many months or years, as the pressure of the eye muscles gradually reshape the lens. Most people tend to not be told about exercises and how they use their eyes and instead fall back on more practical solutions, such as with the use of glasses or laser eye surgery.
The muscles of the body tend to alter their shape according to use, so the muscles that control the shape of the lens are affected by how a person habitually uses their eyes. For example if someone in their work and hobbies would typically look at objects at a distance with very little need to use their eyes to look at or read things close to them, then the eye muscles will tend to get used to shaping the lens that way and find difficulty in shaping the lens for closer viewing. Likewise if looking at things up-close all the time is stressful, maybe due to low light, lack of rest, being forced to do close-work that they would rather not do etc, then the strain through the nervous system may affect the lens muscles in a way so that they struggle to see up-close too.
There are a lot of practical ways to help with farsightedness and I strongly suggest doing eye exercises for some time, i.e. practice looking at closer objects (such as pencil “push-ups”) whilst learning to relax you eyes or exercises that force you to cross your eyes to exercise the eye muscles. There are a lot of exercises you can find online and it may help you not need glasses or more invasive procedures such as eye operations. One good site I can across here had a variety of exercises good for many of the eye conditions in this article.
Energetically, farsightedness represents an unwillingness or fear of being in the present. You could say that it is people that spend too much time thinking about the future, either with worry or expectation. It may be thoughts of being happy once X/Y/Z happens, day-dreaming of a nicer, happier, healthier or richer future rather than actually working on achieving that. The present time is often uncomfortable for them to look at and relax into as they look at all that is wrong with their current situation, such as being poor, unhealthy, ugly, in a bad relationship etc. Many say that it develops in old age due to continual thoughts, worries or questions about death and what to do with themselves and family for the future.
The key is to learn to enjoy the journey. The ego will always come up with yet another goal/desire for the future each time you accomplish something, so making sure that you take the time to recognise and be happy for your successes is important as well as learning to know that you are safe and can be happy in any moment even if you haven’t accomplished a particular aim yet.
If you have a particular dream for the future you wish for, make efforts to do all the necessary baby-steps each day to take you towards that. Each time you make a step, recognise that, congratulate yourself and spend time being in that state of gratitude and of how nice it feels. You’ll soon realise the more you practice, that happiness doesn’t just come at the end like the negative portion of the ego would like you to think. It can come at any time, even whilst doing the little baby-steps each day.

If it is due to getting older and fearing death or for your family after you die, educate yourself about aging and dying. Doing spiritual practices such as learning astral travel or waking in your dreams via the use of a dream diary can help you experience the “afterlife” before you actually leave here and thus give you more ease about death. Failing that, read about and talk to people who have had near-death experiences. The more you understand something the less you’ll fear it.
If you worry about your family when you go, learn about what you can do to best support them before and after you go. Sign over ownership of a house so you know they’ll have a roof over their heads, use your savings to buy an education course a family member will benefit from, say that thing you have been meaning to say to that special someone, go and do those things you’ve always wanted to do for yourself or others etc.
Glaucoma
This is a condition where vision can be affected in various ways because of pressure on the optic nerve within the eyeball. It may result in blurriness of vision, certain fields of vision not working, halos when looking at lights and progressive loss of vision towards blindness. There are many types of glaucoma and it can happen quickly or slowly and at any age though it typically happens late in life and progresses slowly.
Structurally the pressure on the optic nerve is to mostly due to the fluid inside of the eyeball not being removed as quickly as it comes out because of abnormalities at birth, injuries, surgeries and of course inflammatory issues that affect the connective tissues of the eye. Issues elsewhere in the body are important to look at especially if there is an inflammatory factor which is why diabetes, cardio-vascular conditions, what medications you are taking (such as steroid-related ones or for bladder issues) are important to resolve. Got to love those “side effects” of pharmaceuticals huh?!
Other eye issues that put strain on the eyes also seem to factor into glaucoma so sorting out those conditions first can be important. Anything that makes it hard to see such as cataracts can apply greater strain in the eyes.
Energetically this suggests a stubbornness to change and thus a resistance to receiving new ideas, perspectives and learning. This stubbornness can be related to not being willing to forgive yourself or another, a longstanding trauma or a detrimental limiting belief that you’re not willing to let go of.
This stubbornness leads to a clouding of vision and even blindness because if you are unwilling to learn and thus see things from another perspective, then you won’t be able to “see” the bigger picture and the truth of things. Like most eye issues it is a unwillingness or resistance to “see”.
Knowing that you cannot grow, experience more in life and fulfill your desires if you don’t make changes, is important for there to be motivation towards learning more. A big factor is this learning should be practicing actually listening in all it’s forms.
Listening is more than just hearing words, it is about truly understanding what you’ve received too, such that you can see a new perspective. You cannot listen truthfully if you are thinking about what to do or say next whilst in the middle of someone else speaking. Nor can you listen truthfully if you are judging them or what they say before they have even finished. If you are really listening in a way to try and understand them so that you can truly make up your on mind, then you’ll be curious and ask questions to obtain more information.
Making up you mind about a subject or person AFTER you have fully explored and listened as best you can is key here. The result is better reception, more connection to yourself and others and of course more love.
Keratitis
This is inflammation of the cornea at the front of the eyeball.
Causes officially include bacteria, funghi, viruses (if you belief in viruses!), parasites and eye injuries and objects getting in the eye (including contact lenses) which in turn can lead to infection. What a lot of the typical websites leave out is chemicals, as usual.
Practically a lot of advice is about reducing the source of inflammation and such advice is useful for prevention as well as cure. Making sure you clean your contact lenses, wear protective goggles with certain activities, avoiding touching your eyes especially when they are not clean, and of course looking after your body by paying attention to what you eat, chemical exposures, cleaning/beauty products etc are all important avenues to explore.
A lot of the advice here ties in with the refusal to receive new information or resistance to seeing something in this reality that you fear or hate and thus getting irritated by that. The result is refusing to stay in the present or conversely fighting the present. As such the advice given in the above few eye diseases is relevant here so I’ll not repeat that again!
Nearsightedness aka short-sightedness or myopia
This is the opposite in terms of physical cause to farsightedness, listed above. In other words it is a condition where the refractive parts of the eye are affected leading to seeing things more clearly up-close but distant objects will appear blurry. Like farsightedness there are varying severities of this.
As well as blurred vision at a distance, other symptoms include headaches, and eye strain due to squinting and trying to look at distant objects, especially reading at a distance.
Officially nearsightedness develops more often in the young and stabilises between 20 and 40 years old. However it can develop later into life due to long term or altered demands on the eyes such as with a change in hobbies or work tasks that force you to look at objects up-close.
Congenital causes can include abnormalities in the cornea, lens and/or the shape of the eyeball itself leading to altered refraction of the light entering the eye. Otherwise, long-term up-close work, lots of computer/phone screen time and of course chemicals (including from pharmaceuticals!) are all well-know causes.
There are practical solutions as with farsightedness such as glasses, laser eye surgery etc but as with many of these diseases, most people don’t know about eye exercises and physical health of the rest of the body affecting the eyes.
Eye exercises are as expected the opposite of farsightedness and include practicing at looking at far away objects and relaxing in that as much as possible. Eye games such as looking at stereograms, where you are forced to diverge your eyes to be able to see a 3D image within a picture can be a very useful and fun exercise to do.
See if you can see the penguins in the stereogram image below, by looking through or if you like, beyond the image. There are more free examples here: https://wallpaperaccess.com/magic-eye

Energetically nearsightedness represents either a fear of the future and/or being stuck in the past. In other words looking to the past more than looking to the future or being in the present, either in a positive or negative way. This ties in with not knowing what to do about future and thus unclear intentions, decisions and goals.
For some it is more to do with fond memories of the past and wanting more of that rather than seeing positive opportunities in the future and especially enjoying being in the present. For others it is more to do with an uncomfortable past that they have friction with but that they habitually think about. Either way that don’t see how to create what they wish in future or even what they actually want for their future at all.
Whether a negative or positive past, holding onto that past can be used to maintain a particular story or identity and often a victim mentality, rather than working on creating a better future and enjoying the present time.
Safety and trust are central here. Testing your beliefs of reality so that you learn that at least most thoughts and emotions are psychological rather than real fears can help. As with most of the eye issues mentioned here setting goals and making little steps each day to achieve them and slowly become the person you wish or have the experiences you wish is one of the main step you can do to help here.
Once you see that you can create change for the better, you will feel safer, more confident and trusting of this reality. More of a sense of receiving from the divine and more relaxed being in the present time as you fear the future less and less.
Other eye issues
I cannot go through every eye issue in this article – it is already too long for most people to take in all at once with people’s short attention spans these days! But hopefully if you understand the structure and function of the different eye parts at the beginning and read through the rest of the article, you can get a good idea of what might have caused it energetically and thus what you can do about it. Most of the advice you’ll see overlaps anyway.
For example macular degeneration where the central vision is lost usual later in life, you may link in with the advice I gave for not wanting to “see” based on traumas and other experiences in life. The fact that you still have peripheral vision suggests that like prey in the wild, you have fears of being attacked out of the blue so much that you resist seeing all the nice things and the bigger picture. Diet and learning you might say to yourself are probably two obvious things to look into to help resolve this. And of course learning that most fears are actually just psychological rather than real is useful 😉
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this first (and long!) look into the connection between physical issues and the non-physical realms of emotion, thought, mind, astral etc. There are plenty more upcoming over many months.
